At the same time, looking over the results, I would say they look about right. Smugglers are relatively scarce Republic-side, and I would expect that the healer Scoundrel option would be rarer still over the dual-pistol Gunslinger option.

I'm still on Ord Mantell, but I seem to see more people as Troopers than Smugglers. And almost all of them are either named Shepard or MalcolmReynolds.
But it's definitely a jolt once I hit Coruscant and it's like there was a fire sale on lightsabers. |

Made it to coruscant with my smuggler. Proceeding to spend all of my time sending my companion out to get stuff, take stuff to craft weapons, sell weapons, send companion out.
This game is going to consume all my time.

Rather than selling weapons, you can also reverse engineer them to recoup materials and possibly discover enhanced schematics (blue/purple) for the same base item.

We are passing the link to the swtor forums around here at work. Having a big laugh at the nerd rage & whining.

I know, I've gotten two blue blaster, and a blaster rifle one that way. Plus since hardly anyone is on, and the market is in it's infancy, people are selling crafting mats stupid cheap. I'm buying everything.

I'm still wary of how and when to start serious market speculation. Stuff is going to be fluctuating all over the place, and I want a better idea of what supply and demand are going to be like before I start investing.

Well when people list mats at 1:1 credit wise I pounce on everything.

Ooh, thanks! But hey, where did you get that information anyway? I have some friends that preordered much later. So excited now.

Exactly. We will all get in to play soon enough. The sense of entitlement that a lot of the complainers seem to have is hilarious.

Just got an e-mail from Amazon telling me that I can now expect SWTOR to arrive on Friday the 16th vs. the 20th.

When do you get a tutorial or whatevs on crafting? I haven't seen it yet (only got to like level 9 in beta)

I don't think there's a tutorial, you get sent to the trainers to learn skills (around level 10 whenever you leave the starting planet) and all you get are codex entries with a brief description of each one.

Basically the codex is your tutorial once you hit the station.

Several groups of people are tracking pre-order dates vs. waves, and I believe the senior community manager over at BioWare posted that all pre-orders prior to 2 Oct are in as of today, and all pre-orders prior to ~25-30 November will be in as of tomorrow.

I hopped in a huttball match at level 11. I got fucking wrecked by a level 23 Jedi. The scaling is nice so that you're not completely destroyed by higher level players since there are no brackets but it still feels like it's really uneven to be lower level. I did a buttload/all the healing in that match. We ended up losing because people left and we didn't get replacements to fill the team, so it was a by default sort of thing.

Trying to login now, but The Harbinger is currently one of the only servers with a Queue. Oh well, it shouldn't be too long.

I'm in the Harbinger queue too. Dark Reaper looks like the only other server that approaches a queue with "Very Heavy" though I guess there could be one further down the list that I can't see.

Yeah, I've seen a higher population on Harbinger than other servers.
