Well, Jeff Gerstmann seems to like it, 4/5. He says there's more technical problems than FO3, but if you can look past that, it's worth it.

There's been a review embargo running through midnight tonight. Previews/videos/dev diaries/etc. are all over the place, though.

Awesome, I was going to do a pre-order real quick and pick it up at my local Gamestop for the midnight release, but not only can I not do in-store pickup right now, all of my money is tied up in pending authorizations at the moment, so my card is being declined when I try and buy the digital download version.

Ok...so I have the physical copy right now, just got home from GameStop (It's 12:15AM right now) and it uses Steam to verify the install...Ok, unexpected.

It's telling me the game has not been released yet and refuses to install.

...Excuse me?

Yeah, Steam isn't unlocking it until 12:01 Pacific time from everything I've heard. But that's only another hour from now.

First impressions are... pretty good. Feels like more of FO3, which is what I wanted. (also, game actually seems to run better then FO3 does. So my system dodges one more 'next gen' bullet.

Also, there are few things better then waking up to the sound of the voice of Michael FRAKING Hogan

EDIT:Two things

1) It still makes no sense to me that you can't steal items at no karma loss if you are enemies with a faction. With the new karma system, you'd think that'd have been be a no brainer

2) Still no 3rd person running animation for going forward/left and forward/right

Other then that, I'm liking the open feel to this game.

Is there anywhere to get a manual for download?

I haven't managed to start a game yet, but my hardcore mode won't turn on. I want that on permanently.

Hopefully they are just making me wait till the game is running before I can turn that on.

You're given an option for Hardcore Mode after you leave the character creation segment of the game.

Speaking of Hardcore mode, keeping enough water on you too keep you hydrated is kinda tough here in the early game. *looks at the canteen that came with the Gamestop exclusive* *salivates*
