Downloaded this from iTunes. It was OK, but...I don't know. The only show I've watched regularly in the last few years has been Sons of Anarchy, so my brain is very wired in the "wrong side of the law" direction right now. Hopping over to a cop drama? Might take some getting used to.
I like the character idea- he's a walking anachronism, which is pretty cool. The guys who plays him is pretty good. But I guess I was hoping for grittier. And the rednecks are causing me to flash back to those unkind years I spent in Louisiana. I'll give it another go when the cable gets hooked up next week, but I'm not sold yet.

Each episode would be, but it's 30 days after the date is aired, not after the last episode was added to Hulu. So the first episode appears on Hulu 30 days after it's aired, then a week later, the second episode is added, etc. Sorry for the confusion.

A good article about the show and what's to come from an Entertainment Weekly interview with Timothy Olyphant. I will only link it since there are some minor spoilers.

Uuuugh this episode was so good. Alan Ruck was fantastic. This is, I think, the best and most entertaining episode since the pilot. I wish there had been more for Rachel to do since the thread of her taking lead on the investigation seemed to fizzle out about 2 minutes in, but man, this was a good one. It's nice that the writers feel confident enough to take the show out of Kentucky this early.

episode 4 "GUN THUG" phrase count: 0, but they fuckin' named him three times. Maybe we can move past setting up olyphant's reputation every episode now?

Man get over it, they talked about it because the mob dudes were also from Miami. Justified rules. I kept reading about how episode 4 was going to be really great, but now supposedly episode 5 will be even better as they return to the serial plot.

Apparently, the ratings have been slowly dropping, and I've read that it probably has something to do with the episodes after the pilot being more episodic procedurals a la USA rather than the serialized stories of other FX series, but it's such an entertaining hour of television that I hope people stick with it or come back to it. Maybe this next episode returning to the serial plot will get people to come back.

The pilot and the latest episode were pretty good, but the middle two were awful. So, we'll see.

I may be wrong here, as I suck at discerning actual "good" TV or movies, but this is my favorite show on Television right now. I just watched last night's episode. Although it was pretty obvious at the end, I loved the jars of ashes. I'm also loving his continued interactions with Boyd. And I love Tim, because every time I look at him I see Cooper from Eurotrip.

The look on Raylan's face when they were talking about the paintings was amazing.
