VTM: Bloodlines is a great game to pick up right now because when it came out it ran like shit on most people's computers and was a buggy unfinished piece of crap.

Now that it's been patched up and computers are better, it's an astoundingly cool game.

It's essentially got two playthroughs at least: Regular and MaLkaViaN

I never finished my Malk playthrough. Nothing beats all the weird shit like arguing with signs or having a computer tell you its password.

Playing a malk after finishing the game is great. They get all sorts of hints as to what's going to happen. The changes to the news reports are a nice touch, almost everyone acts different toward you. I think the talk with the Malk-lite at the beach is a bit longer too.

I never got around to playing a Nosferatu though.

Wikipedia has links to the official patch, and the two fan patches. One fan patch just fixes bugs, the other makes many more changes.

An X-Com one should be easy to do since it's so cheap now. Just about anyone could run to steam, buy it and be talking about it.

The official patch fixed some game breaking bugs so I wouldn't recommend going without that one unless want to run the risk of keys to locked areas vanishing/your game crashing at the end of a certain quest.

But yeah, the fan patches only fix small issues. Possibly annoying, but not game breaking. Plus at least the one completely changes the balance.

I'd like to say Freelancer, but then I remembered that it was a completely mediocre game in virtually every way, so I voted for VtM.

You'll have no rancor from me if you noclip the sewer segment, either.

Deus EX, the best Action RPG ever, until Fallout 3 came out (*still dreams of a Deus Ex sequel in the FO3 Engine* Mmmmmm)

I'm not sure deus ex would really translate well to the FO3 engine. I could see it doing well on the crysis engine through with some tweaks for skills.

I played Malkavian my first play through Bloodlines.

You want to talk mindfucks. Try to pin down what exactly the fuck was going on when your character speaks in riddles and rhymes and none of the other characters can figure out what the fuck, either.

And that Sunset Manor or hotel or whatever is still the scariest level I've ever played in a game. Hate that place.

If Bloodlines wins, two things.

1. Yes, I am noclipping the sewer level.

2. I am not installing any patches.

Is there a patch that lets you play as an anime vampire?
