In game terms, it doesn't actually mean anything. There is no osmium golem. But since everything's house ruled, a denser golem would be stronger and tougher. And Osmium is the densest (Natural) element there is. Making it incredibly strong, and incredibly tough.

I think Osmium might actually be fairly brittle, but whatever.

There is so an osmium golem, it's right there in the strip!

As observed in an earlier strip, just because some people restrict themselves to the four classical elements doesn't stop smarter people thinking outside the box.

But these guys are minor NPCs fighting one of the series' Big Bads. They exist to be cannon fodder, and possibly to return as undead foot soldiers that Haley will have to deal with.

Hmm, when Xykon gets the Phylactery back, he said they were going to move out immediately.. Does that mean Redcloak still isn't happy with Gobbotopia's self-reliability? Or since he's only allowing the outsiders to leave the place alive, hiding it even from other goblins/hobgoblins.. what else could he be planning?

Start of Darkness spoilers, although if you still haven't read it yet and you consider yourself an OotS fan, you owe it to yourself to read it now.

Maybe even find some way of destroying it. Of he's going to do that, this is is best chance to do so, given that any other time Xykon would notice immediately.

In Start of Darkness, Xykon said that he could trust Redcloak to keep the phylactery safe because otherwise, Redcloak would have to confront the fact that he killed his brother over nothing. Perhaps everything Redcloak has been through since them has allowed him to see the futility of that sort of logic.

If that does happen, another key tidbit from the end of Start of Darkness is that Xykon hypnotized/cast a spell on the Monster in the Darkness telling him to kill Redcloak if he ever tried to betray Xykon.

Yeah, I just re-read it recently. It was right after Xykon appeared again after Redcloak went to meet up with his brother and bust the MiiD out of the circus. Total Chekhov's Gun.

I recall Xykon saying something to that effect, but not sure it was hypnosis or a spell. I will double check, though I am probably wrong.
