Yeah, I did not know what kind of scheduling they'd set up. Apparently the snaking round robin is far too advanced of a concept for Cyanide.
I still like us playing two rounds against every opponent. Sets up some good rivalries before the playoffs.

Yeah, it's kind of lame. I just played Arch, next I'm playing:
Tebriel. Then Tebriel. Then Arch. Then Rage. Then Rage... |

My main fear is that Turn 16 Fouls will be much more present because your opponent will be squaring off against you again right after that game.

It's gonna be Sheldon's skaven.
Which will be two GRs and a bunch of loner linos. Also, my schedule is, well, interesting. @Sheldon(Skaven) Sheldon(Skaven) @Algernon(Norse) @Edge(Nurgle) Bye/Kickflip(???) @Bye/Kickflip(???) Striker(Dwarf) Algernon(Norse) @Striker(Dwarf) Edge(Nurgle) So yeah, not that bash-heavy in the beginning but the end of the season is gonna be murder.

Whoever does that is going to pay when the rest of the league hears of it.

Haha, joke's on the euro division meatgrinders because the champion they'll send forth will be a Skaven team.
Consisting of two niggled Gutter Runners and one -AV, -ST Linerat! Edit: Damnit, Rutkowski! Must you beat me at everything i try??? I shouldn't have let this reply sit for five minutes while I checked on my dinner. |

Man, I spent like, literally an entire game fouling Muon's Werewolf, and even I wouldn't Turn 16 Foul. It's literally the Dickest of Moves.

The thing is, asside from good sportsmanship and not-being-a-dick, there's no reason not to try a foul if you're going to be playing the same person again immediately after. It's basically a 4-Half, 32-turn endurance game with a score reset (and level ups) at the mid-point.

I dunno, if I actually played someone twice in a row, I could be convinced to T16 them if I was in a dominant position at the end of a fairly even match. A MNG could easily turn the tide of the next game if the first was really even. Luckily, I don't face anyone twice in a row, and I barely foul anyway.

If I took part in a competetive tournament where you had to face the same opponent twice in the knockout stages to determine the overall winner, there'd be no reason not to foul in T16 of the first leg. And I'd expect my opponent to do the same given the chance.
In a league format, even if you take sportsmanship out of it, T16 fouling is most of the time not good strategy, because you want the other teams in the division to be in good enough shape to take points from each other. That's not factoring in the repercussions you'll face once you get a reputation as a fouler either. But honestly, if I had known in my last game that I was going to play Rutkowski again immediately, I could not have been too angry with him if he had stomped another Gutter Runner in Turn 15 or 16. I mean, I would have been angry at that moment, but a couple of minutes later I could have seen a decent argument for it. |

I killed one of Sheldon's GRs with a foul but that was very early in the game and even if it was in turn 16 I still shoulda recieved a medal for it because fuck gutter runners. >=/

Yes, I agree, and I hope no-one does plan on doing a turn 16 Foul. But I acknowledge that it's purely sportsmanship; unlike "normal" turn 16 Fouling, this situation makes it tactically sound, if dickish.

You're doing it wrong tho. You're suppossed to kill Gutter Runners once they turn into MA+, Blodge, Sidestep, Sprint, Sure Feet monsters, not before they ever get the chance to collect even a single SPP.
No righteous rat murder points for you! |

The Bulleez just knew that Gutter Runner would turn into a beastly One-Turner. So they intervened before that could happen. They are "precorcs".

Actually, we knew that two of your gunners would become oneturners and killed them both. It's just a shame the apo saved the first guy though.
EDIT: Consider that a threat, Action.

BB_LE 2012-03-16 23-46-23-30.jpg That death in the second half is one of his Ghouls... Trickster was a lot more magnanimous about it than I think I would have been. By which I mean he didn't scream and flip the fucking table.

also, my Wight making SIX dice rolls to catch your orc at the touchdown line was the highlight of the day for me, shame he couldn't finish it. Orc teams are bloody savage, i could barely make a dent in any of you and the whole field was littered with the corpses of my corpses. It was a great game though, especially with the boundary line fumble and subsequent throw near your touchdown line, that was a great scramble. Last edited by Trickster; 2012-03-17 at 2:10 AM. |

Yeah, I was greedy there. Was hoping my Black Orc could get the pickup and bag some bonus SPP. They're such a pain to skill up.
