Blizzard advises us via Twitter to set our region to "The Americas" if logging in from Europe/Asia.

Can't even get past the login screen. After entering the login info, the password disappears, the button grays out and it sits there for a while before telling me I lost my connection to battle.net.

I simply tried to download the beta client (which is 100% separate from the pre-loading I did a few weeks ago, can anyone confirm?) today but it was too slow before I had to return to class with my laptop. I would have needed the whole day to download at that speed.

I'm at work so can't research the problem, but my wife is telling me that she keeps getting an error saying no beta license.

Are we supposed to have obtained a license to input or should that be in the client already since this is an open beta?

If it doesn't exist yet, it probably won't on the 15th, and the server load will be a lot worse then. Would seem the logical step to put in a queue.

I managed to play through to the Skeleton King pretty decently, with little to no lag. I didn't do a pubby game though.

Barbarian was pretty fun, smashing things to the other side of the screen. Gonna try out the wizard next.

Good to know that the company making the biggest online game still has problem regarding server capacities and login functionality.
