Do NPCs in town give out quests, or something? Maybe they're afraid people will miss these quests because they have no reason to go back to town.

Yeah they do, but usually it's a linear series of quests, so that when you go back to hand in one, you often get the next one from someone close by.

Maybe that February 1st rumor was in relation to the next wave of beta invites?
Because they just sent out the next wave of beta invites. |

Ugh, this is the firstworldiest problem but I feel terribly let down whenever I check out my battle.net account to see if I'm in the beta. For a beta that by all accounts is tiny, but still... god damn it.

It's nice to see that Blizzard's ludicrously terrible downloader hasn't improved.

Oh, I like how it doesn't give you a choice as to where to install it, that's awfully clever, thanks Blizzard, nice installer from like 1995

Only had about 10-15 minutes to play with it last night, which basically got my Monk to level 2. Might have more time later today if my friends aren't doing SWTOR grouping.

Played to level five with my Sorceresss last night...I haven't read anything about Diablo III or anything but...it seems to me like they get rid of all kinds of specialization? Everyone gets the same skills? Am I missing something?

I like that you can start playing before it finishes downloading. Doesn't modern WoW do that, too?

The specialization comes from skill choices and rune loadouts. Runes will eventually change how powers work, so two monks with the same skills may not play the same.

I guess that makes sense, because it doesn't lock you into just one build...But it kind of takes away the RPG element, don't you think?......

The Diablo franchise has never been a full on RPG.
