Ok, I made this list based on Football Manager data, and parts of it are ridiculous, but here is what I got. (I don't know young British players well enough to put together a list based on reality.)
Starting Lineup: Manuel Almunia (England) Neil Taylor (Wales) Phil Jones (England) Rio Ferdinand (England) Kyle Walker (England) Gareth Bale (Wales) Ryan Giggs (Wales) Aaron Ramsey (Wales) Jack Wilshere (England) Theo Walcott (England) Danny Welbeck (England) Bench Alex Smithies (England) Grant Hanley (Scotland) Shane Duffy (Northern Ireland) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (England) Jack Rodwell (England) Daniel Sturridge (England) That's right. Manuel Almunia is the second best goalkeeper eligible for England, according to FM.... It's doubtful that Duffy would turn up, as he has declared an interest in representing the Republic of Ireland, but Northern Ireland is really pretty shit.

As well as Drogba, Chelsea will be releasing Kalou and Bosingwa this summer. Are they going to have anyone left?

Edit: but there's no way he'd be picked in a 'Team GB - get people from all around the UK' squad.

He's very, very good.
If you look at where teams finish compared to where you'd expect them to finish based on payroll, he's #1 in the Premiere League, ahead of Ferguson and Wenger.

Welp, the Frank Lampard 'problem' has been solved. He's out of the Euros with a thigh injury. Not exactly thrilled that his replacement looks like being Jordan 'what he do?' Henderson. But maybe playing him in the middle instead of on the wing will bear fruit.

Only if Randy Lerner puts his hand in his pocket. I mean, while teams that do well in their first season in the premiership often struggle in their second once teams have figured them out, I still don't know if it's wise to jump to Villa. They have been seriously under-performing in recent seasons not so much because of a lack of leadership, but because they sold all their best players.

Of the two it makes more sense. There are some Liverpool fans already grumbling that they didn't get a bigger name, whereas at Villa you're already ahead simply by virtue of not being McLeish.

Blimey, looks like Harry Redknapp's gone from Spurs. It's not clear yet whether he left or was sacked though. There are a lot of rumours suggesting the chairman, Daniel Levy, was furious with Harry for letting third place slip away after having such a commanding lead, so it wouldn't surprise me too much if he was sacked.
Apparently David Moyes is the current favourite to replace him. He strikes me as a bit too conservative for Spurs, though I suppose he's never really had any money to play with, so he could spring a surprise. It'll be interesting to see if whoever does end up coming in can convince the likes of Modric and Bale to stick around. |

I can't help but feel that if a team than began with a "Manch" came calling, Bale would leave so fast your head would spin.

Sounds like Dempsey is close to a move to Liverpool. Should be good for Clint and could even be good for US soccer at least from a youth development perspective if nothing else. I am just a casual EPL fan, but for anyone who knows Liverpool or the EPL better than I do, how would he fit in at Liverpool from a lineup/talent standpoint?

Apparently Scottish football has voted to commit seppuku.
