Alright FO, it's my turn to ask for advice.
Today I had a date set up with a girl. We set it up last night. She seemed into it, and even asked me what she should wear. I'm not too picky, so I told her "I dunno, whatever turns heads." She lol'd, and said she was looking forward to meeting up. About an hour before we were going to meet, I texted her and asked if we were still on. She did not reply, so I assumed she flaked, which she did. I did not hear from her. Until about two hours ago. She said "hey whats up." I replied that I was working and would be doing so until late (I just got off). She then apologized for flaking on me today, to which I replied "it happens." How would you proceed? I would enjoy meeting this girl, and she's clearly interested in me, but her behavior today was unacceptable. Had I been a less discerning/cautious suitor, I likely would have gone to meet her and been stood up. I did appreciate the apology, however. |

She is the tool here, let's be honest. I was very courteous in even replying to her after she flaked. Men of lesser character would have insulted her.

I seriously doubt that.

The worst flake story I've heard actually belongs to one of my best friends.
She'd "met" this guy over OKCupid, and they chatted each other up for a week prior to agreeing to finally meet at Kuma's, downtown. So, she goes there at the scheduled time, and the guy's not there yet. She texts him a few times, no response. She waits for a solid hour, still texting, and nada. At the hour fifteen mark, she finally gets a message: "got back together with my ex sry" As a prologue to this story, she called me immediately after, and I called another good friend that happened to be at work at Kuma's that night (no, the two friends did not know each other), told her this story and she comped my bestie a few beers until I got there, and then we had a few more and drunkenly wound up stealing "No Parking" signs from around town and pushing each other around city streets on an old office chair we'd somehow acquired in our travels (I really don't remember how, haha) for pretty much the remainder of the night. It started out as kind of a bust but wound up being pretty fun.

I'm basically loopy over the girl who inspired me to want to go to Hawaii. She's leaving on May 1st - but when I go out there I'll be like 6-10 months behind her. She's got a boyfriend in town - but he's not going to go and the relationship is going to end. She's said as much.
Gave her the little carved whale. She liked it! She's literally a muse to me. Is it okay to chase your muses - or are you supposed to keep them just at fingertips reach? Because my god, I could hug this girl forever (from what little I know so far).

@Iranklin Maybe you should find another girl to casually screw like you did on your last date.

I don't really care if someone wants to have casual sex. That's not what makes you a terrible person. If you don't have the time, or desire, or whatever for a traditional monogamous relationship then, hey, who's to tell you otherwise. It's your life. Different strokes.
It's how you treat women, and how you have come across as treating them in your posts that is disgusting. They're nothing more than that lay. They're nothing more than a quick fuck. You have a calculation for how much money = how much time fucking, and if it is not somehow met, you're disappointed. That's the disgusting part. I'm not even sure why I wrote this - you're clearly nothing more than a troll, and if you are something more than a troll, you're really just not worth the thought process it took to type this. But I don't want you thinking that people are disgusted by you because you enjoy casual sex. People are disgusted by you because you're disgusting. edit: It's pretty funny because you can directly translate the whole "Some guys get butthurt when a girl ignores them/rejects them" sentence into "Some guys get butthurt when a girl doesn't put out after I spent $90 on her". So, I guess what I'm saying is, you're that guy that you don't like.

But you write like they're a number to you. It's disturbing and childish (in a negative way).

I don't see your point. I can still have a friend with benefits and make her breakfast. I gotta eat, so I might as well throw some eggs in there for her, too.

Do polo shirts somehow make someone an inherently terrible person? Come on AP. You're just giving him ammo with that statement.

The polo is the modern day yoke of the retail working class.
