Excellent. Some work friends have taken over my Sith life with a typography themed guild called Cosmic Sans but I wanted to explore my republic options so I'm going to make a Jedi Knight to see if I can bore myself to death with it as Sam claims.

From what I've seen so far (level 30 guardian), you tend to get two choices for your quest reward...one heavy, one medium (since apparently the quest engine can't distinguish between two Knight subclasses). They look absolutely identical. Basically, when you choose a Knight, you're stuck with the look they came up with for Knight armor. The only thing you could do is adapt some moddable Trooper armor, which probably isn't what you want (although I've seen some pretty funny results of that approach

).

As for the plate-and-robe look, that was what attracted me to the Knight in the first place. I want to look as badass as Clone Wars Obi-Wan, dammit

To make a long story short: Couple of RL 'friends' dragged me onto a german-language PVP server. Vacation time is over for them now, so starting next week they should be less demanding and I'll be able to return to a server where 'Pedobear Rockz' isn't an accepted member of the community...
