Never before have I wished I had a Del Taco nearby.
I signed up for the NVidia newsletter thing that'll be giving out keys tomorrow to the first 10,000 sign ups. I can't imagine there's any way I made it in time.

New default bridge, or a new one that you have to pay for?

The constant NPC spams at Earthbase about where Sulu is overdoing it just a tad.

I love the patch. It makes the game so much better - Nimoy's voiceover alone are adding tons in terms of atmosphere. The UI fixes are really great and working AA improves immersion too. I feel much better about my pre-order now and if the final version improves over this patch as much as the patch over the original Open Beta I'd even consider a lifetime subscription.

Headstart is 01/29, and Lifetime expires Feb 1st, so you won't have much time to decide.

I want to play but my patch keeps dying at ~60% and it forces me to start over. This is killing me.

Is that device beside Commander Romaine in Memory Alpha supposed to do something? I see people going to it all the time, but when I go up to it, nothing happens.
Also, where are people going to use their mineral samples etc to upgrade their items? Whenever I go to the store at Romaine, the items are pretty crummy. |

BTW, it's a little tricky getting to Starbase 39. Just go to the Sierra System. One thing a lot of people are complaining about is that the new patch makes the game a little too easy. I haven't had much time to test but one guy was complaining about flying around in his escort feeling like a Cruiser, taking down multiple Romulan warbirds by himself. Ugh. Hopefully it's just a "phase" and they're trying to find the right balance. |

But what about Memory Alpha? How come I can't seem to deposit my samples there? I've talked to two of the scientists there, O'Brien and Roet, but Roet says I have to do stuff for Romaine before she talks to me. However, if I talk to Romaine, she doesn't mention anything.

That's all you do there, from what I can tell. Maybe stuff opens up when you become commander or captain. I'm thinking that's true for a lot of the content they just added...because at DS9 no one wanted to talk to me pretty much. All I could do was buy stuff and drool over Mk VIII equipment.

Ugh, I finally realized there's a mission "Scientific Mandate" that I have to complete first as you said.

Ok I did the mission with Egg, but when I go back to Memory Alpha and deposit the bio sample, nothing else opened up. All the other scientists are still referring me to Romaine, but Romaine doesn't ask me to do anything.
This place is the worst

Yep, it definitely appears that either they will add more content later or you have to be higher than Lt. C to get anything to open up.

Oh so it's not just me. Now I feel less like an idiot. Checking out Starbase 39 now.
The new bug with beaming from a station back to your ship and falling through space is quite annoying. |

Have you noticed that all the tailors (at least all the ones I've seen) are Cardassian?

Is there a way to hide your armor when on the surface? It's nice to have, but I like the look of my uniforms better.

Right click on the armor on the paperdoll and there is an option there to hide the armor. I cannot remember the exact wording but it should be pretty obvious. I to prefer the standard uniform look. Not the Shepard from Mass Effect look.
