People, how do you face a day that you know is going to be terrible?

I have a day off but I know it's not going to go so well. In fact it'll probably be a long and horrible one that's completely unavoidable. So how do you face it without dread.

As for what it is, I found a 6 pound container of peanut butter lying empty on the ground this morning and my dog has been pretty immobile so far.

It sounds like it's going to be a messy day. One of my dogs once ate a pound of butter; unfortunately he did that while noone was home, so we weren't able to avoid the majority of the mess.
