Voted this morning on a slew of local things and three races were nonpartisan: school board, utilizes board, and sheriff.

Non partisan, but you could grab a sample ballot from either party and know who's the republican and who's the democrat.

So I ask, why not put the little r's, d's, and i's next to their names? Any perceived benefit is lost to anyone who can read.

When you voted, was there still the option of just pressing one button and voting all rep or all dem?

If there wasn't, I guess the only benefit would be that people can't simply walk in and do that, they have to select individually.
